There is always allegation by Government of Odisha
that Central Govt. does not allocate required
PDS items for beneficiaries of the State. To find out
truth behind such allegations, RTI
Application was filed to the PIO, Dept.
of Food Supply and Consumer Welfare ,
Govt. of Odisha. In response to RTI
Application, the PIO, Odisha Civil Supply Corporation Ltd. has supplied
following information on dated 22.2.17.

A. In
every year, whatever allotment of rice ad wheat is made by Central Government,
Govt. of Odisha could not lift same
quantity for which the poor
beneficiaries got deprived to get their entitlement.
B. There
is always deficit of
50,000 MT to 1,00,000 MT in lifting rice or wheat from Central pool allotted by Central Govt.
