Status of all Category of Doctors in Odisha as on 1.4.20

Status of all Category of Doctors in Odisha as on 1.4.20

  • ·        52% of doctors’ post  is  vacant in Odisha
  • ·        Tribal districts who epitomizes   pathetic scenario of infant death and child malnutrition and require more advanced health facility   are worst-affected, as 62% of Doctors’ post is vacant.
  • ·        Ganjam which is worst-hit COVID district witnesses vacancy of 62% of doctors’ post.
  • ·        260 doctors are absconding for  years  together . The Govt. is helpless  to find them  out or  take  any action against them. As it is reported, most of them are engaged in private hospitals  in the knowledge  of the officers of the Govt.
  • ·        No need to read book or do any research why Odisha is facing disastrous health situation in 21st century. The callous, apathetic attitude, mega corruption, loot of public money by unscrupulous Ministers and bureaucrats have caused  irreparable loss  to our  health system  in Odisha.
